Westhoughton Conclave 254
KHS Ceremony 19th September 2024

On Thursday the 19th September 2024, a team of Red Cross Knights from across the Division descended on Brookfield Hall at Westhoughton to support the local Conclave in working a KHS ceremony.
P.Kt. Alex Prescot, Div Rec, V.Ill.Kt. Stephen Gregory, D.I.G.,
R.Ill.Kt. Graham Edwin Williams. I.G.
Kt. David Hargreaves and I.ll.Kt.Geoff Jackson
The team, put together by the Deputy Intendent General, Stephen Gregory, has already carried out several such ceremonies in different Conclaves within the Division over the last couple of years, and with some of the usual team occasionally not being available the officers sometimes change giving a variety of performers and performances along the way.

Tonight, after a short admin meeting in the Red Cross setting, the KHS ceremony was led in the first part by no less than Stephen himself. The second point for Geoff Jackson from Agnus Dei at Southport and  the third point by the Intendant General, Graham Edwin Williams. The ceremonial was not only of the highest standard but was delivered in a very timely and efficient manner.
And now joined by:
Rt.Ill.Kts. Kenneth Wilson Shaw and Peter Locket, P.I.G's

All supported by the Sepulchre Guard  under the Command of Jason Nash.
Now tonight would not have happened without a candidate who was Kt David Hargreaves of Westhoughton Conclave, and he conducted himself in an exemplary manner throughout the long and complicated ceremony.

To say we couldn’t do it without a candidate is, of course, obvious but nor could we have done it without a Marshal, Ill Kt Terry Bailey, who took, and maintained, control throughout the evening.

Obviously many more knights were involved in the ceremonies and I hope they will forgive me for not mentioning them all,  but we could not have done it without you, thankyou all.
No sooner was the ceremonial completed that we were soon heading off downstairs to a delightful festive board, prepared and served by the catering staff at Brookfield (after a couple of Photographs).

What a good night all round, well done 254!
